Hiya George, I’m just curious, have you ever transcribed a sax solo for the harmonica? I’m not sure if you’d need a chromatic harmonica to pull it off or not. Guess it would depend on the complexity of the sax solo. I have a couple of songs with sax solos that would be really killer if I could pull it off on the harp. Great site. Just signed up so I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi James,
You should probably be able to play most rock sax solos on a diatonic harmonica especially if the chords stay in one key like most rock songs do.
More complex melodies and chord changes would require a chromatic.
What songs are you talking about? Originals?
Thanks for signing up.
